I’m a huge fan of giveaways, and of Audrey’s Give Aways.  She’s having a huge Christmas giveaway event and I just had to find a way to get in on it.  She’s posting a total of 24 giveaways in 3 days.  This event officially kicked off on November 15th and will end on December 10th, 2010.

I love fragrances. I love body sprays, perfumes, colognes, Eau de Toilette’s, and smelly goods of every kind. My favorite scents are woodsy varieties. Musk (especially), sandalwood, that kind of thing. I like some florals, but not the fru-fru kinds. And vanilla is NOT my fragrance. I love it, it don’t love me. But I found a giveaway that might be just right.

Over at Candid-Cleaver-Cost Effective, you can enter to win a gorgeous Lilac body scents set from Pampered Rose.com. Lilac’s happens to be one of the floral that I do like. I have a Lilac bush in my front yard and love the aroma that floats around it each spring. And according to the Webmistress at CCC, this variety of Lilac perfumes smell closer to the real thing than any she’s ever encountered. However, she did say that she wasn’t impressed with the extract.

There are a lot of ways to enter this contest, but you’ve got to head over to The Pampered Rose and choose one thing that you’d most like to have as the mandatory entry. Without this one, none of the others count. But trust me, the visit is well worth it. There are a ton of lotions, perfumes, body sprays, and soaps that will have you craving a long, luxurious bath.

I did this last week on one of my other blogs, but I think this week I’ll be promoting this one. Why???? Just cause. I used to the the Follow me Fridays, but I think I like this one a little better. Not because of anything major, just because Tuesdays are better for me schedule-wise.

Now, like on my other blog, instead of just saying hi to those who follow me, I’m going to go one step further and do a little write up about the people that follow this blog for this week. Depending on how many follow me, I may have to do more than one post. Last week, I got like 14 followers and it took quite a bit to talk about everyone in one post. Hey, I’m not opposed to doing more than one. (Hint, Hint). LOL

How often to you use a hair straightener??? Me, all the time. I was “blessed” with naturally curly hair and I HATE it. Growing up in the 80’s, it was cool having big hair. But even then I wanted the Marcia Brady straight hair look. My hair wouldn’t do anything that I wanted it too and there were a lot of time that it was all I could do to keep from shaving my head bald.

Then came a really cool invention called the Flat Iron, aka, hair straightener. I used to use my curling iron as a straightener so this was the coolest thing I’d ever heard of. Problem was that I was well into my 30’s before I could afford one. Now, I have about 3 of them, but they’re all inexpensive models that only last about 6 or 7 uses before they just don’t straighten my hair as well as they should. I’d love to have one of those nice ceramic types, but there’s no way I can afford one of those right now.

I love this flat iron as it can be used on either dry or wet hair. And with my hair, that’s a major plus. I’d much rather get it done while still wet, than have to try and blow dry it as straight as possible, then use a flat iron on it to get it even straighter. It takes forever and there are a lot of times that I just don’t bother and wear my hair up so no one can see it.

Well hello to one and all. Sorry that I’ve been gone so long, but life just jumped up and grabbed me. This has been the fastest summer ever and I don’t see it slowing down anytime soon. The reason is that I went back into the real world work force and I’m not used to that. LOL
